Preparing for an award session? Updating your website? Needing feedback on a new series and how it works with past work? Trying to figure out what the common thread is if any in a variety of work creating over several years? A zoom based portfolio review is ideal to address your needs at various times. It is also a great way to present your work as you would in a professional setting and experience any hiccups and get direct feedback.

In Person Portfolio View

Meeting your studio is the best way to understand the layers involved in the creation and thinking of your art. We will arrange a studio visit that is usually an hour and a half long to review your work and address your individual challenges. This visit included a follow up zoom session as well as email support between the initial in person session and the wrap up zoom session.

College Portfolio Prep

Preparing a portfolio of your art, fashion or design can be key to getting into college and stand out. Whether you are applying to an art/design college or simply want to shine, I am happy to meet in person or virtually with parents and/or high schools to review work to date and give feedback and direction on organizing and developing their portfolio custom to each school’s application. Up to three 1 hour sessions are included along with email and phone support.

What Sets Us Apart

While many artist coaches are not practicing visual artists, Beth Waldman is. She understands the journey, the challenges, the various paths that are possible, and how to work intentionally towards a goal. Having worked with galleries, non-profits, and institutions as an artist, publicist, and associate director of Career Development at California College of the Arts, Waldman brings her seasoned background and addiction of art to benefit you. Having raised a teenager who is now studying fashion design at Pratt, she has the experience of applying to art schools and have assisted her classmates to achieve their own collegiate goals.
